Today, Tuesday, the southern front has witnessed tension since the early hours of the morning. Reports indicate that "Hezbollah" targeted an Israeli tent housing soldiers in the Ramim settlement, opposite the town of Markaba in the eastern sector of southern Lebanon. Israel retaliated with shelling on the outskirts of the towns of Ramish and Yaron. Subsequently, "Hezbollah" issued separate statements announcing that "Islamic Resistance fighters targeted an Israeli military vehicle at the Metula site, and hit a Zionist tank in the Ramim barracks causing direct injuries, in addition to targeting sites at Zar'it, Sadah, Jal al-Dair, al-Malaki, and Birkat Risha with direct fire."
Also, a "Israeli stronghold opposite the town of Ramya was targeted with guided missiles, resulting in casualties among the dead and injured, and a group of Israeli soldiers stationed at the Biyaad Blida site was targeted with guided missiles, resulting in confirmed injuries, in addition to targeting a gathering of Israeli soldiers in the Branit barracks with guided missiles causing several casualties among the dead and injured."
In another statement, "Hezbollah" mourned five members who fell during confrontations today with Israeli forces along the border: "Mahmoud Ahmed Beiz 'Kazim' from the town of Mashghara in western Bekaa, Hussein Abbas Fasai 'Sajid Karbala' from the town of Kounin in southern Lebanon, Mahdi Muhammad Attawi 'Amir Karbala' from Kounin, Hussein Hani al-Tawil 'Rabi'' from the town of Kharbet Selm in southern Lebanon, and Ibrahim al-Dabaq from the town of Kounin."
The Lebanese Red Cross announced that "four teams headed to the Aluma al-Shaab area to retrieve the bodies of four victims resulting from the Israeli shelling."
In his turn, Israeli army spokesperson Avichai Adraee confirmed via his official account on the platform "X" that "two anti-tank missiles were fired from inside Lebanon towards an area near 'Kibbutz Yiftah' on the Lebanese border, as well as gunfire from light weapons towards military positions along the border." Adraee pointed out that "IDF forces responded with artillery fire and tank fire towards military positions of 'Hezbollah,' noting that no injuries were reported among our forces."
From the northern border, Israeli army Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi threatened: "If Hezbollah makes a mistake, it will be destroyed." A fire broke out from one of the targets in the armored battalion at the Ramim barracks near Wadi Hunin.
Earlier today, an anti-tank missile fired from Lebanon targeted the Israeli settlement of Metula, resulting in injuries according to Hebrew media. The missile hit an Israeli military vehicle. Immediately, Israeli artillery shelled southern border areas, affecting the road between Adaisseh and Kfar Kila and the surroundings of the Khiyam plain.
The Israeli army spokesperson Avichai Adraee sent a message to the Lebanese state, stating: "We remain in a state of high alert and readiness in the northern area. If Hezbollah makes a mistake, we will respond with great force. The state of Lebanon must ask itself if it wants to risk Lebanon for the (ISIS saboteurs) in Gaza."
In the early hours of today, the Israeli army announced that Israeli forces were conducting strikes in Lebanon. The army stated: "We are currently attacking terrorist targets belonging to (Hezbollah) in Lebanon, with further details to follow."
Later, the army noted that "four people attempting to cross the border fence with Lebanon and plant an explosive device were killed today."
Yesterday, Monday, there were rounds of shelling on southern Lebanon. Around eleven o'clock last night, the Israeli army announced that "Hezbollah fired anti-tank missiles that hit the Israeli border fence." In this context, it was reported that "after launching illuminating bombs suspecting a breach, the Israeli army at the Metula settlement conducted a sweep with heavy machine guns towards the orchards in the settlement and the occupied side of the border wall adjacent to the town of Kfar Kila." There were also reports of Israeli drones flying over Kfar Kila and Wazzani and renewed heavy artillery shelling targeting Al-Duhairah.
