President Walid Jumblatt toured the town of Bsour, where he had a series of visits and meetings, starting at the home of Minister Ghazi Al-Aridi, in the presence of the Druze sect judge Sheikh Gandhi Makarem, Mr. Wadji Abu Hamza, the internal delegate of the Progressive Socialist Party for the Western region Bilal Jaber, the internal delegate of the Jurd Jumblatt Ghreezi, and the upper Western delegate Naja Mal'ib. Jumblatt stated before a crowd of sheikhs, party officials, municipal and social actors, and personalities: "We have gone through difficult and critical stages, but it seems the future is much harder. I cannot predict what will happen; the game of nations is vast. We see how entire peoples are sacrificed, yet the Palestinian people will remain despite the circumstances."
Jumblatt added, "All I wish and strive for is that we not be drawn into war. We defend ourselves within the utmost possible means, but we must not be provoked into war."
**The Reference’s Sanctuary**
Jumblatt then moved to the sanctuary of reference Sheikh Amin Al-Aridi, where he affirmed, “It is true that the Palestinian people are resilient, but in Lebanon, we do not wish to be drawn into war. We have been and will continue to stand by the Palestinian people, but it is better not to be drawn in. And as I told you, 'it is not our issue,' meaning concerning some local actors 'and we are conveying the message to them.' If we are drawn into war in a defensive context as we did historically in 2006, we must be in solidarity with the southern people. I mean the southern people in all their factions who may face displacement, the southern people and others, but the southern people are more exposed to displacement. These are my directives to everyone and to the parties; alongside Sheikh Amin, we work on resilience."
**Sheikh Mal'ib**
Jumblatt then continued his tour by visiting Sheikh Abu Nabil Adib Mal'ib, who welcomed him warmly, commending Jumblatt's positions and greatly appreciating his visit to the town of Bsour and the role he plays at all levels.
**The Charitable Bakery**
Jumblatt also visited the charitable bakery in the town of Bsour, which was established at the onset of the economic crisis and the COVID-19 pandemic, as a community initiative to provide bread for those with limited income and to ensure the availability of this food item during times of crisis. Jumblatt praised the work and offered his greetings to those in charge of the bakery after touring it and meeting with the volunteer workers from the town.
