Sharjah: 34,662 Business Licenses Issued and Renewed

The total number of business licenses issued and renewed in Sharjah during the first half of this year reached 34,662, reflecting a growth rate of 3% compared to the same period last year. Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Chairman of the Sharjah Economic Development Department, expressed appreciation for the efforts that contributed to this achievement, calling on all sectors to continue the development approach and encourage innovative ideas to ensure Sharjah's economy remains an inspiring model for creating opportunities.

Al Mahmoud stated, "The results of the Economic Development Department's report for the first half of this year indicate the ability of business sectors in Sharjah to achieve sustainable growth leaps in accordance with the vision of Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and to meet expectations to reach the highest levels of excellence and leadership, under the supervision of Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of the Executive Council."

He confirmed that "data released by the department reveals a notable increase in investment activity, indicating sustainable growth for the economy of Sharjah," pointing out that the department's strategic goal is to implement a comprehensive development plan that enhances economic development in Sharjah by upgrading services to meet the highest global quality standards in terms of speed of completion and accessibility for economic sector stakeholders and investors in the emirate, while striving to facilitate transactions easily and smoothly.
