Millions Follow It: Musk Interviews Trump

More than two million people followed the live conversation between Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump and Elon Musk on the X platform, after facing technical issues that delayed the broadcast. The conversation was originally scheduled for 8 PM Eastern Time, but technical difficulties caused a delay in airing. The campaign team of Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris mocked the technical problems faced by Trump and Musk. Harris's campaign account on Truth Social republished Trump's previous comments from last year, where he criticized Florida Governor Ron DeSantis's campaign launch on the X platform, which also experienced delays due to technical issues.

Key highlights from the interview included:

- "If I were in the presidency, the attack on Israel would not have happened."

- "The Ukraine war would not have occurred if I were president."

- "The Middle East could lead us into World War III."

Musk, who previously voted for Democrats, has been throwing his support and wealth behind Republican candidate Trump since an armed assailant attempted to assassinate him during a campaign rally last month. Trump's accounts were banned on Twitter after his supporters stormed the Capitol in January 2021, but Musk reactivated them when he acquired the platform and renamed it. The interview aims to help revitalize Trump's struggling campaign, which has declined since President Joe Biden withdrew from the race.
