Renewed Clashes on the Southern Lebanese Border; Casualties Reported

After a period of cautious calm that lasted until dawn, especially in the eastern sector of southern Lebanon, clashes resumed today, Sunday, along the southern border. According to reports, the Israeli army targeted a "Rapid" vehicle between the towns of Shakra and Hawla, resulting in casualties. Intense Israeli bombardment also struck the outskirts of the town of Shebaa and Tayyibah. An air strike targeted areas around the towns of Bayt Lif and Hawla, as well as the valley of Salouki, and the region between Rashaya al-Fukhar and Kafr Hammam.

At approximately 3:10 PM today, a drone launched an air strike targeting the northeastern outskirts of the town of Aita al-Chaab with a guided missile. The Israeli army also targeted an unoccupied house on the outskirts of the town of Marwahin, opposite the Ghanaian battalion headquarters, which had previously been bombed multiple times. Additionally, a shell exploded in the woods between Qawzah and Bayt Lif.

Intense Israeli shelling targeted the edges of the towns of Naqoura, Aita al-Chaab, Ramiah, and Marwahin, as well as the outskirts of Mays al-Jabal at the foothills of Hill al-Manara.

Meanwhile, the "Islamic Resistance" announced in a statement that, "In support of our steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and in solidarity with their valiant and honorable resistance, Islamic Resistance fighters targeted an Israeli army gathering east of the Hanita site with appropriate weapons at 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 3, 2023."

The Islamic Resistance also targeted the positions of Zubdin, al-Radar, and Rweisat al-Alam in the Shebaa Farms with suitable weapons, achieving direct hits. An Israeli military vehicle in the Beit Hillel base was also targeted with guided missiles, resulting in casualties among its personnel.

Israeli media reported that four Israeli soldiers were injured when a shell fired from Lebanon hit the "Kiryat Shmona" settlement. Notably, Israeli warplanes flew over the Nabatiyeh area and the Taffah region at a high altitude, as well as over the city of Tripoli and northern areas in a circular manner.

Reports indicate that the death toll during these hostilities has surpassed 100, including 83 fighters from Hezbollah. The exchange of fire has led to the flight of tens of thousands of residents on both sides of the border.
