The Government Media Office held a press conference on Friday stating: "It has been 63 days of the comprehensive genocide being perpetrated by the Israeli army against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, where a new crime was committed to add to its series of brutal crimes against our Palestinian people. This involved the arrest of dozens of civilians in the Beit Lahia area (north Gaza), where occupation soldiers, armed and under the threat of death, forced them to undress during their arrest, binding their hands and preventing any movement. They were then placed in trucks and transported naked to the beach after their eyes were covered, left in the cold without clothing until dawn of the same night in this humiliating manner, reflecting all the meanings of Jewish 'Israeli' hatred and revenge. Subsequently, some were ordered to return to their homes while others remained in detention, torture, and investigation. One eyewitness who endured these harsh hours said: 'We returned to our homes naked, walking barefoot, and were shocked to find that most of our homes were burned and looted by the soldiers.'"
The office continued: "In another scene, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) is playing a vague role in humiliating and degrading people by halting the distribution of aid in the form of flour bags in some areas or its very slow policy in others. Through our field observations, there is a deliberate slowdown being practiced by UNRWA, as if they do not want to resolve the issue of flour distribution. Despite the large area they have for importing flour into the Gaza Strip; their management of the crisis is confused and sluggish, as if they are intentionally humiliating and degrading people in the distribution of flour rations to Palestinian families. Therefore, we demand that UNRWA put an end to this farce and to finalize the distribution of flour and basic items such as rice, sugar, salt, and other necessities for bread-making, distributing them to all Palestinian families as quickly as possible. In this context, we warn UNRWA, the international community, and the entire world that the Gaza Strip is clearly subjected to a deliberate policy of starvation and thirst, evident in the severe shortage of food and water, indicating an intentional policy of starving the people of Gaza in a cheap international crime."
It added: "Alongside this ongoing suffering, the number of martyrs continues to rise by the hundreds every day, reaching (17,490) martyrs who have arrived at hospitals, including (7,870) children and (6,121) women, while the number of missing persons has reached (7,780), either under the rubble or their fate remains unknown. The number of injuries exceeds (46,558) since the onset of the ongoing genocide against Gaza. We continue to warn all free countries and international organizations of an impending humanitarian disaster being committed by the 'Israeli' occupation army against civilians, with clear approval from the United States and the international community, through the destruction of more than 61% of homes and residential units in the Gaza Strip, where the occupation has destroyed over (305,000) residential units as part of the comprehensive genocide against our Palestinian people."
The office pointed out that "in light of this extraordinarily critical humanitarian situation, the conditions of the displaced, exceeding (1.5) million people in the Gaza Strip, are increasingly difficult and harsh, clearly threatening food, water, and medical security. They suffer from poor living and shelter conditions, exacerbating their daily lives, which have become catastrophic due to the spread of various diseases and epidemics coinciding with the onset of winter and severe cold."
