Title: Qablan: A Settlement the Size of Lebanon's Party, Not a Party of the Presidency

The distinguished Jaafari Mufti Sheikh Ahmad Qablan emphasized in a statement that "it is clear that the state, with its functions, institutions, and national identity, is an absolute sovereign necessity. The value of the political elite is derived from the country, state, and people, not the other way around. The violation of the country and constitution is committed by those who refuse settlement and partnership, not by those who excel at national agreements and sovereign compromises. Lebanon is a partnership according to the interests of the country, not a game of numbers and foreign recipes. What happened in the parliament regarding security showed who cares and who does not, and confirmed the concept of national agreements away from wagering numbers and chaotic projects and sedition."

Qablan continued: "Thus, a settlement the size of Lebanon's Party is required, not a Party of the Presidency, with the focus on Lebanon's interests, not on American interests. This is what we fear greatly, as those who have pushed for security settlement have returned to betting on external favors. Being national means being focused on interests, partnership, and settlement, not fleeing from them. Determination requires leaders with national interests, not half-leaders, especially since Lebanon is in the heart of a war zone, and a political deterrent that matches the deterrence provided by the resistance is necessary. The political deadlock exists within some mentalities that continue to recount international bills, and some who are wasting time in the world and the region are fixated on the war machine of the Zionist-Atlantic alliance, which is engulfed in a gang war crushing it in Gaza."

He stated that "advice is needed from the angels of mercy, not the advisors of Satan, and Lebanon's national identity, sovereignty, and security, especially south of the river, is a red line. The international and regional recipes for the south of the river are nothing more than a Zionist copy. Resolution 1701 has no interpretation other than sovereignty, security, and full national defense, represented by the army, people, and resistance—anything else is a Zionization of the resolution, and there is no room for Zionized resolutions in Lebanon. The international community is fully complicit in the massacres in Gaza and practices international crime under the world's eyes, and there is no place for its criminal recipes in Lebanon. Lebanon's strength comes from the strength of the resistance and its magnificent capabilities and victories, and protecting Lebanon and securing its sovereignty and entity is a Christian-Islamic national interest. Any Zionist adventure will face an unprecedented shock in the history of wars."
