Hebrew Channel 12 revealed today, Tuesday, the involvement of Israeli army vehicles and tanks in shelling the homes of Israeli settlers in the Be'eri settlement near the Gaza Strip on October 7. According to the channel's report, translated by the "Quds" network, approximately 500 soldiers were present in the settlement close to the Gaza perimeter, but they did not participate in the ongoing battles despite pleas for help from the settlers.
The report noted the emergence of smoke columns in northern Be'eri for the first time since October 7, describing the incident as a tragic event. According to the channel, at 4:40 PM that day, after more than nine hours of hundreds of resistance fighters invading the settlement, flames erupted in entire neighborhoods within the settlement.
The report documented the incredible number of resistance fighters who seized control of the settlement, in addition to a tank that assisted the forces at the "Bisi" home, firing shells toward the house. It mentioned that the shells were launched from one of the tanks, disregarding the fate of the hostages, with soldiers only indicating that no harm would come to them and that they wished to destroy the walls of the houses in the settlement.
According to the channel, this video raises questions about the army's actions in front of a house containing 15 Israeli captives, noting that it was strange to see a tank moving on the streets of Be'eri alongside heavy gunfire and massive explosions occurring in that area. The report documented testimonies from some settlers who were injured by shrapnel from tank shells fired toward the homes in the settlement.
