The Government of Pakistan proudly announces the launch of the Fourth Pakistan-Africa Trade Development Conference and the Unified State Exhibition, scheduled to take place from January 9 to 11, 2024, at the Cairo International Exhibition and Convention Center. This will be the first time Pakistan organizes a joint event for governments and businesses in Egypt. The previous three conferences were held in Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa.
Pakistan aims to enhance bilateral trade and connect with the African continent, and Egypt was chosen for its strategically significant geographical location linking the Middle East and North Africa. It is also one of the fastest-growing economies in the region due to its large consumer market.
The Fourth Pakistan-Africa Trade Development Conference and Unified State Exhibition will feature participation from major economies in the Middle East and North Africa, including Jordan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Burkina Faso, Mali, and Mauritania, with the attendance of over 100 prominent Pakistani entrepreneurs and traders covering key commercial sectors such as agriculture, textiles, engineering, and services.
It is noteworthy that the Third Pakistan-Africa Trade Development Conference and Unified State Exhibition held in Johannesburg, South Africa, last year was a significant success, leading to the signing of over 20 Memoranda of Understanding and pioneering deals valued at $24 million between Pakistani and South African companies. The Government of Pakistan anticipates greater business activity and more positive results in the fourth edition of the conference and exhibition.
