Egypt's Air Defense Forces Commander, Major General Yasser Al-Toudy, revealed the manufacture of systems to counter unmanned aerial vehicles in collaboration with the research centers of the armed forces, benefiting from the industrial capabilities of the Arab Organization for Industrialization and the Ministry of Military Production. He noted, "The armed forces are keen on developing equipment, training personnel, and achieving the highest level of professionalism for deterrence."
During an interview on the "Bawraqa Wal Qalam" program on "Ten" channel on Friday, Al-Toudy mentioned that political leadership is keen on possessing military manufacturing capability. He stated that the leadership has established a research center led by a select group of officers to address technical issues concerning certain equipment and to acquire technology that is prohibited for Egypt.
He confirmed that Egypt has successfully manufactured many pieces of equipment at a rate of 100%, according to the Egyptian website "Veto." The Commander of the Air Defense Forces also stated that modern wars have seen an expansion in the use of cyberattacks, prompting air defense forces to take numerous technical measures to protect air defense systems from cyber warfare.
