Under the patronage of Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority announced the 13th edition of the Sharjah Light Festival, taking place from February 7 to 18. The festival's displays will be distributed across 12 strategic locations in the emirate, including the General Command of Sharjah Police, Al Hamriyah Public Market, and Kalba Waterfront, which are new additions this year alongside other sites such as Khalid Lagoon, Al Majaz Waterfront, Bee’ah Headquarters, Al Dhaid Fort, Sharjah Mosque, Sheikh Rashid Al Qasimi Mosque, Al Noor Mosque, Al Rafisah Dam, and the "Village of Lights," which will launch on February 1, featuring a wide variety of small and medium national projects with over 55 national projects.
Thanks to modern energy-saving lighting technologies, the facades of the targeted landmarks during the Sharjah Light Festival will transform into a mosaic of colors celebrating the history and heritage of the emirate. Khalid Jassem Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, stated: "The Sharjah Light Festival is a global event reflecting Sharjah's status as a center for art, culture, and heritage in the region.
