Constitutional Council Suspends the Effect of 5 Articles from the 2024 Budget Law

The National News Agency's correspondent reported that the Constitutional Council suspended today, Monday, the effect of articles 94, 93, 72, 45, and 36 from the 2024 Budget Law until a review is made. This came after a number of deputies from the "Strong Lebanon" bloc challenged the budget law for several reasons, the most notable being "the absence of the final accounts and budget riders." The council is expected to issue its final decision within a month from the date the challenge was submitted.
