The 17th edition of "Art Dubai 2024" commenced today, Wednesday, and will continue until March 3 in Madinat Jumeirah, featuring the participation of over 120 contemporary, modern, and digital galleries, with more than 65% coming from the Global South. The "Art Dubai" programs include extensive partnerships, an educational program, and discussions and thought leadership that reflect an increasingly mature local and regional creative scene. The exhibition highlights prominent artists and galleries from across the Global South and provides an important platform for arts from various regions and communities, boasting the largest group of exhibitors residing in Dubai to date, thus enhancing the emirate's growth as a commercial art hub.

P Benedetta Ghion, the Executive Director of "Art Dubai," stated, "The fair continues to rethink and reshape the role that an art fair can play in supporting the growth of the creative economy, building capacities, and creating opportunities for creators through partnerships," noting the importance of maintaining connections with the local environment that reflects the spirit of innovation in Dubai and the diverse communities that call it home.

The 2024 program will include the 17th edition of the Global Art Forum, the second edition of the Dubai Art Business Conference— the leading platform for discussing the key challenges facing the global art market— and the first Digital Summit at "Art Dubai," bringing together experts from various fields to explore the growth and opportunities of the digital art economy in Dubai.

Additionally, "Art Dubai" offers an educational program to support the next generation of creators and cultural leaders, including "Campus Art Dubai," which provides graduates with hands-on training and professional development opportunities in the cultural sector, a new exhibition organized by Dubai Collections, along with the "Meetings" exhibition.
