Bayram Signs MoU with "Labora": Let’s Together Tackle Unemployment

Bayram Signs MoU with

Minister of Labor Mustafa Bayram signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the ministry and the "Labora" Foundation regarding securing job opportunities for Lebanese youth and exchanging expertise through the electronic platform SPERARE. He pointed out that "signing a MoU with the 'Labora' Foundation, which is concerned with employing Lebanese youth and organizing accelerated vocational training courses, aims to extend across all Lebanese territories. Because it prioritizes Lebanese youth, it aligns with the Ministry of Labor's objectives, which focuses on all Lebanese citizens. We are at the service of Lebanese youth to jointly confront the issues of unemployment and idleness, and to address the crises accumulating in Lebanon. However, the will to live and the genuine culture of life, which are related to human dignity and securing job opportunities, also relate to the significance for youth. A person who lacks meaning also lacks the purpose of his existence. Therefore, it is very important that Lebanese youth have meaning through feeling that they have a purpose in life and that they have an essential job in life."

He clarified that "these goals align with those of 'Labora', and therefore this agreement will include accelerated vocational training courses across various Lebanese territories, combining supply and demand concerning jobs and Lebanese youth. A detailed study of the needs of the Lebanese market will also be conducted; thus, analyzing needs will be a crucial step in determining the required skills for professions that need these skills. All of this will be within the framework of this agreement, and we will provide 'Labora' with training rooms in the Ministry of Labor for any training operations we offer for free to train Lebanese youth and attract Lebanese skills to secure job opportunities for them. We will continue despite the Israeli assaults, despite the violations occurring, despite the genocide in Gaza. Today, we are part of the resilience of this country and the confidence in this country to stabilize Lebanese youth in their land because they represent the future and its foundation. Lebanon, in its multiple images, is the message Lebanon; therefore, we serve all these goals."

In turn, Father Tony Khadra, President of the "Aura" Union and "Labora", affirmed that "we believe in cooperation, and nothing can save Lebanon except the combination of hope represented today by the Sperare platform (www.sperare.online) and the work represented by the Ministry of Labor. Therefore, we are here and we ask God that this initiative will be a good omen for Lebanon, its youth, and its future." He noted that "our concerns are shared, and our Lebanon is one. We must work diligently to serve our youth; hence this agreement focuses on: serving Lebanese youth exclusively, exchanging knowledge, experiences, and information, providing specialized consultations in all aforementioned scientific fields, preparing scientific research and studies on unemployment and related specialties, providing specialized training, advisory, and employment services, organizing joint seminars and lectures, preparing programs, and conducting training courses to enhance skills in the professional field. A participation certificate from the Ministry of Labor will be awarded to each participant in the courses and workshops, and there will be mutual benefit between the ministry and the association's website to publish job offers and requests."
