Member of the "Loyalty to the Resistance" bloc, MP Hassan Fadlallah, stated that "the continuation of the war is linked to the attempts of the occupation army to achieve a victory scene that has not been realized thus far. What is happening in Rafah is a continuation of the criminal approach perpetrated by the enemy's entity to pressure the resistance to concede the rights of the Palestinian people. This enemy will not be able to achieve its goals, thanks to the steadfastness, resilience, and great sacrifices of the resistance." Fadlallah made these remarks during a commemorative event held for a member of "Hezbollah" who fell in southern Lebanon.
He emphasized that "the war has entered its eighth month, and the Palestinian people, with their heroic resistance, continue to record true epic tales. This people is resistant to defeat and has surprised the enemy with its courage, audacity, and ability to endure. They will emerge with even greater determination. This war has proven through all its developments that the Zionist entity has not adequately understood the reality of the Palestinian people's position; it was preparing to confront danger from one location, only to be struck from where it least expected."
Fadlallah affirmed that "the image Netanyahu is seeking will not be obtained, while what is forming in the minds of people around the world is the image of the genocide being committed by the occupying entity." He considered that "the position of the U.S. administration is deceitful in a transparent attempt to evade the crimes, while at the same time covering the aggression completely on an international level and providing direct support for the war on Gaza."
He clarified that "the resistance in Lebanon has developed its targeting of the occupying army, dealing with each phase according to its battlefield conditions. Each time, it surprises the enemy with its weapons and military tactics, still in the phase of supporting pressure on the northern front, intending to push the enemy's government to stop the war on Gaza."
He said: "All political, military, and enticing attempts to relieve the enemy in the north have failed, and any initiative from any party trying to achieve gains for the enemy in Lebanon will only end in failure. They have experimented over the months and presented us with offers and initiatives that relieve the enemy, but what the occupation has failed to achieve in seven months on the battlefield will not be obtained politically under any name, and we will not allow it to impose its conditions on our country under any title. It is not in a position to dictate terms to Lebanon."
Fadlallah added, "They began by asking us to stay 10 kilometers away from the border, then 3 kilometers, and then required that we vanish from sight, among other offers. Today, they have despaired of the possibility of these pressures succeeding in Lebanon. All the intimidation they practiced has not affected our choice, decision, or our continuation in this confrontation. We told delegations that instead of trying to pressure Lebanon or wasting time with unattainable proposals, productive effort should focus on pressuring Netanyahu's government to stop the war. This is the only way to halt what is happening."
He stressed that "the issue of Syrian refugees in Lebanon should not be seasonal or reactive to specific events and the result of a delayed awakening, but rather through a national approach. This is what we have been working on since the beginning of the crisis and war in Syria, away from any exploitation or racist incitement against Syrian refugees. Thus, our call for cooperation between the Lebanese and Syrian governments and the understanding between the two countries on how to address the issue has been established. We have taken practical steps to return refugees to their homeland, as returning refugees cannot be achieved merely through speeches, statements, and position-taking for popularity gain without a genuine national plan that considers all the surrounding factors, especially the American and European uses in pressuring Syria."
He questioned those who advocate reliance on what they call friends from the Americans and Europeans and who claim that what they call the international community and the Security Council resolutions protect Lebanon from the threat of the Israeli enemy, asserting that there is no need for resistance. He asked them why these friends do not address your refugee issue.
Fadlallah concluded: "We have a general parliamentary session to discuss this issue, and we will present our national approach based on the interest of our country, national laws, and the fraternal relationship between the two peoples and states."
