Title: Presidency Amidst the Battlefield... Party Sources: We Are Against Expanding the War

Despite the repeated Israeli threats against Lebanon and Israel's readiness for potential military action on the Lebanese front, many contradictory positions have emerged regarding the timing of an attack from the enemy's leaders, offering Lebanon a choice between a diplomatic solution or military action. In this context, the statement made by the Israeli Minister of Defense in Benjamin Netanyahu's government was notable, indicating that the Israeli army is exhausted and needs approximately two years for rest and reassessment of the consequences of the war on Gaza and the human losses incurred. He also stated that the Israeli army needs to appoint ten thousand soldiers to maintain internal security before considering any attack against Lebanon.

Sources close to Hezbollah indicated through the electronic newspaper "Al-Anbaa" that the best solution to de-escalate tensions in the south is through implementing Resolution 1701, which preserves the rights of all. They noted that suggesting Hezbollah withdraw eight kilometers northwards means that Israel must also retreat the same distance, otherwise there will be no settlement. The same sources urged against heeding Israeli threats of war, asserting that Hezbollah is opposed to expanding the conflict. They contended that if Israel is eager to return displaced Israelis to their villages and settlements in the north, it should stop the war in Gaza and allow food and humanitarian aid to enter for the Palestinians.

Simultaneously, attention is turning to the anticipated meeting in Paris tomorrow, Wednesday, between US President's Assistant for Middle East affairs Amos Hochstein and French envoy Jean-Yves Le Drian, where Lebanese issues will be discussed at both presidential and border levels. Following sources linked this meeting to communications being held by the quintet committee away from the media to reactivate the presidential file and the possibility of making some breakthrough in the impasse over this issue. The sources opined that Hochstein needs to defuse the overall war and inform the Israeli enemy that this would ignite the entire region, starting from Lebanon and passing through Syria, Iraq, Iran, Yemen, and other countries, potentially warning of a widespread regional war. They questioned the responses he received in Tel Aviv and his actual ability to control Israel's reckless behavior against any adventures.

For his part, MP Elias Grady stated in an interview with the electronic newspaper Al-Anbaa that matters generally seem to be heading toward political solutions, but not rapidly as this may take time. Grady pointed out that there are "high chances" supporting this direction, noting how the enemy has toned down its harsh rhetoric and adopted some modesty due to the deterrent power imposed by the resistance and its displayed capabilities. He observed that the escalation that occurred in the past two weeks was calculated by the resistance and has yielded results, in addition to the military situation inside Israel being worsened due to the battles and atrocities committed by the enemy in Gaza. He remarked on the significant shift in global public opinion regarding the crimes committed in Gaza, which they had warned about from the beginning.

Grady indicated an objective and humane reading at the global level condemning what happened in Gaza, asserting that the solution will not be the one attempted to be imposed by Israel. He affirmed that Israel has not achieved any victories due to the pressure exerted by the resistance, which has established important balances in the field, sending a clear message to all. He wished for matters to progress in this direction and for the enemy to back down, leading toward sustainable solutions as dictated by the realities of the battlefield. Therefore, the situation in the south continues to control the overall political situation in Lebanon, and it can be stated with certainty that all files will remain conditional on the battlefield, with no solutions available before the cessation of hostilities, according to the electronic news outlet.
