The "Roscosmos" organization announced today, Wednesday, the development of equipment used in new vehicles designed to secure communications with spacecraft during their return to Earth. A statement from the organization noted: "Experts from KIA Systems and TSENKI collaborated with specialists from the Kuznetsov Institute and the Yaroslavl Radio Technology Plant, successfully developing new equipment for video recording and equipment for transmitting video and audio data used in (KRPPOVA) vehicles. This equipment has passed factory tests and is expected to undergo additional testing in September." The statement also indicated that "the new equipment is made from components developed in Russia, and it can ensure wireless communications, record audio and video related to the landing operations of spacecraft, and transmit this data via Russian satellites."
