The Majority of Israelis Support Assassinations!

Israel boldly attacks the largest institutions in the world and the most credible international sources of information if any news emerges from them that indicates its crimes, calls for the prosecution of its accused, criticizes its policies, unveils its conspiracies, or mentions data about its victims and the inhumane conditions imposed upon them! The situation has reached a point where some Israeli officials question the legitimacy of the United Nations! They also accuse the International Court of Justice, the largest court in the world, of being anti-Semitic and fabricating charges against Israel and its senior officials!

What is even stranger is that, simultaneously with all this, Israel itself issues documented news from official Israeli platforms that supports some accusations directed against it from abroad. For example, a poll conducted by the Israeli Lazar Institute and published by Ma'ariv last Friday revealed that up to 69 percent of Israelis support assassinations targeting Palestinian and Lebanese leaders abroad. Supporters of these assassinations do not care about the consequences, which implies their agreement to delay a ceasefire in Gaza and their lack of objection to stalling negotiations for the release of their captives held by Palestinian factions.

The poll also indicated that only 19 percent opposed the assassinations, while 12 percent had no specific opinion. According to this poll, Prime Minister Netanyahu’s standing among his supporters has improved after he lost much of his popularity immediately following the Hamas strike on October 7. The survey showed that he succeeded in narrowing the gap between him and his rival Gantz for the position of Prime Minister, with Netanyahu's supporters increasing to 39 percent compared to Gantz’s 41 percent! This implies that Netanyahu's policy, which adopts brutal aggression in Gaza and the killing of children and women, along with conducting external assassinations, has raised his support rate.

This confirms that the majority of Israeli public opinion, as a fixed rule, adopts a policy that ignites Palestinian resistance, as corroborated by another public opinion poll conducted by the so-called Israeli Institute for Democracy last February, which showed that about two-thirds of Jews in Israel (exactly 63 percent) oppose the establishment of a Palestinian state!
