Reports have revealed that Manchester United took a step without considering the consequences during the current summer transfer window. The Athletic reported that United signed young French defender Lenny Euro, despite medical examinations indicating a problem with the player's foot. Nevertheless, Manchester United completed the signing of Euro, who came from Lille, for £52 million.
Euro, who is 18 years old, suffered a fracture in the bones of his left foot during the team's second preparatory match this summer. The site added that United officials pressured to sign Euro despite his injury, believing that the Frenchman would be a key player for the team over the next decade. It continued: "United has handled Euro with great care regarding his participation in training."
It is expected that Lenny Euro will be out for three months, but Manchester United remains calm, especially after signing Dutch defender Matthijs de Ligt.
