Title: Fadlallah: The Resistance is Committed to Responding, and Threats Will Not Deter It

Member of the "Loyalty to the Resistance" parliamentary bloc, MP Hassan Fadlallah, affirmed that "the Resistance's commitment to responding to the aggression that targeted the southern suburbs, and to what the enemy has committed there, is steadfast. The response will come, but at the timing chosen by the Resistance. This timing does not operate according to the calculations of analysts or activists; it is on its own clock, not that of any so-called timers. Therefore, the way of responding, its timing, and its manner are determined by the decision-makers, that is, the leadership of this Resistance, which defines how to fulfill its commitment and how to respond regardless of everything that is written and said. Regardless of how long it takes or how short, this commitment exists."

MP Fadlallah's remarks were made during a tribute event held by "Hezbollah" for the martyr Mohammed Hani Haidar (Abu al-Fadl) at the Imam Al-Mujtaba Complex in San Terese, attended by the head of the "Loyalty to the Resistance" bloc, MP Mohammad Raad, and other party members, along with family members of the martyr, scholars, dignitaries, and a crowd of citizens.

MP Fadlallah pointed out that "the Israeli enemy, along with the American administration behind it, is in confusion and despair. If we follow the announcements from senior American and Israeli officials, we will always hear them proclaiming responses at specific timings and targeting particular places. Their intelligence informs them of the timings, yet the expected responses never come, and this is part of the punishment and reply. We must leave them in this confusion and not underestimate the psychological warfare, as the enemy lives in a state of worry despite its threats and exaggerations. Our people have complete confidence in the wise and courageous leadership of this Resistance, which measures its steps against its vision for the interests, dignity, and honor of its people and the interests of its country. The Resistance places all of this at the top of its priorities. When it chose confrontation to support the Palestinian people in Gaza and defend its country, it looked ahead to the future of Lebanon, the South, and its people."

He stated, "In light of developments regarding the response to the Zionist aggression, whether from Lebanon or the Islamic Republic of Iran, international diplomacy has been mobilized, and delegations have come to our country to exert pressure on Lebanon under the pretext that the Israeli entity will retaliate and bombard, among other exaggerations. However, this pressure should be directed at the Israeli entity because stopping the aggression in Gaza halts all repercussions. There are those trying to make self-defense seem like the cause of escalation while the true cause of all this escalation is the Israeli aggression. Therefore, all these exaggerations and pressures will not deter the Resistance from exercising its legitimate right to defend its country, and all these messages in the media and under the table are ineffective and inappropriate, as they choose the wrong target."

He added, "Negotiations are currently taking place, publicly titled as a ceasefire in Gaza, which is the objective we have established in our movements and the Resistance axis. But the ones making the decisions are the Resistance in Palestine, led by Hamas. The entire Resistance axis supports and exerts pressure to support the Palestinian people, but the main war is in Gaza. It is led by the Resistance in Palestine, particularly Hamas, and what it accepts in these negotiations is what the other countries and Resistance movements will accept."

Concluding his speech and addressing the families, whether those displaced from our towns or those in the suburbs, he said: "Today we commemorate the fourteenth of August, our victory in 2006, the day we defeated the enemy and rebuilt. That day, the machinery of destruction could not defeat our will. Throughout our Resistance’s history, we have gone through much more difficult experiences, major wars, threats, exaggerations, and psychological warfare. All of that we transcended and overcame with steadfastness, patience, tolerance, and trust in God and in the Resistance's leadership and fighters. We will also overcome this phase, no matter the attempts from inside or outside to intimidate and instill fear."
