Real Estate Authority Announces Reception Schedule for Reviews and Transactions

The General Directorate of Real Estate Affairs announced, in a statement, that "the Land Registry office in Baabda will receive new transactions exclusively for the release of guarantees on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 (reviews will not be accepted). On Thursday, August 22, 2024, it will deliver the twentieth batch of ready cash orders and the twenty-first batch of ready property deeds to the concerned parties or their legal representatives. It will also accept requests for replacements for lost documents (for those contesting: the right to notify Land Registry offices throughout the week), demonstrate boundaries, and deliver property certificates. All reviews will be accepted from the concerned parties (a copy of the ID must be attached) or their legal representatives (a copy of the authorization must be attached).

The Land Registry office in Chouf will receive new transactions for the release of guarantees and transactions related to inheritance transfers exclusively on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 (reviews will not be accepted). It will accept requests for replacements for lost documents (for those contesting: the right to notify Land Registry offices throughout the week), demonstrate boundaries, and deliver property certificates. All reviews will be accepted from the concerned parties (a copy of the ID must be attached) or their legal representatives (a copy of the authorization must be attached). The Land Registry office in Kesrouan and Jbeil will receive new transactions on Wednesday, August 21, 2024.

The procedure for submission has been specified, requesting the concerned parties to visit the General Directorate of Real Estate Affairs website, WWW.LRC.GOV.LB, in the "Latest News" section to verify the existence of the cash order or document belonging to them within the published lists on the site. They should then proceed, for deeds only, to the relevant offices to obtain stamps (2X50,000 = 100,000 L.L.) or the receipt for stamp payment from accredited financial companies. The Directorate has specified the locations for obtaining stamps as follows:

- Metn Office (Land Registry office in Metn).

- Jounieh Office (Land Registry offices in Jounieh - Jbeil).

It was also noted that "the delivery center for cash orders related to Jbeil district is at the auxiliary real estate office in Jbeil Court."
