Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi has emphasized the unacceptable repetition of events, with citizens yearning for a glimmer of hope. He highlighted the added anguish of innocent civilians losing their lives in a war they do not choose.
During his Sunday Mass sermon, Al-Rahi stated, "Our nation, Lebanon, is called to look up to God in these painful times. We suffer as we see the destiny being shaped for us, and people are weary of the language of war, threats, and long waiting. Therefore, we pray for the success of the negotiations."
Regarding the official exams, he expressed regret over the turmoil in the educational sector, urging commitment to institutional stability. Al-Rahi commended the Minister of Education for her efforts to balance the educational system with students' needs amid the ongoing conflict.
