A senior Israeli intelligence official has unveiled new precise details regarding the assassination operation of Hassan Nasrallah to the newspaper Maariv.
According to the officer, Israeli aircraft dropped 83 bombs during the assassination operation, the same number later used against his assumed successor.
The Israeli officer stated: "On that day, Nasrallah had more fortified locations he could have gone to, but he chose the shelter where we assassinated him, which was a deep underground bunker located beneath a multi-story residential building."
He added: "The attack lasted only a few seconds... and the aircraft launched missiles aimed at trapping those inside the bunker and preventing them from escaping."
He continued: "After the strike, we saw a motorcycle arrive at the scene... People tried to enter through a nearby opening... then they brought in a bulldozer to rescue the trapped individuals, so we attacked it... A second bulldozer came, and we targeted it as well... However, the third bulldozer did not arrive."
