Lebanon's Export Resumes to Jeddah Port: Prime Minister Salam Pledges Not to Harm Arab Neighbors

Lebanon has resumed its exports to Jeddah Port following the Saudi decision to lift the ban, with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, several ministers, and Saudi Ambassador Fahd Al-Dosari in attendance.

In his address, Ambassador Al-Dosari stated: "We are gathered today to witness the relaunch of the first Lebanese exports to the Kingdom, in response to the positive steps taken by the Lebanese state. This move demonstrates Saudi Arabia's support for Lebanon's stability, sovereignty over its territories, and the welfare of its people, along with the trust in Lebanon to take necessary measures."

Prime Minister Salam remarked: "We stand today at the Beirut Port to witness a long-awaited moment for Lebanon—the departure of the first containers heading to Jeddah Port after lifting the export ban. We will never allow Lebanon to become a launch point for harm against our Arab brothers. Instead, we aim to be partners in their security, stability, and prosperity."

He continued: "Our return to the Saudi markets signifies renewed hope for thousands of farmers in Beqaa, the South, and the North, as well as for factories that withstood challenging times and exporters who have long awaited this day."

Earlier, Prime Minister Salam welcomed Saudi Ambassador Fahd bin Abdulrahman Al-Dosari for a protocol visit marking the commencement of his duties, expressing his hospitality and wishing the Ambassador success in his mission.
