On the eve of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei's funeral, Iranian President Masoud Bazshkian issued a statement urging the Iranian people to "stay united and continue to uphold the banner of the late leader."
Bazshkian emphasized that "the flag for which the Revolution's Leader fought throughout his life will never fall."
He stressed that "the will of the Iranian people will safeguard this legacy."
He pointed out that Iranians will "demonstrate their loyalty to the late leader's principles with heavy hearts and resolute determination," asserting that "this passing is not the end, but rather the beginning of a new chapter of solidarity, growth, and cohesion despite the toughest trials."
