Arab Countries Condemn Bombing Near Justice Palace in Damascus

Several Arab nations expressed their condemnation on Thursday following a bombing that targeted a cafe near the Justice Palace in Syria's capital, Damascus. This attack resulted in the death of nine people, including six lawyers, and left several others injured.

Qatar condemned the attack, reaffirming its strong rejection of all forms of violence, terrorism, and criminal activities, regardless of their motives or justifications.

Similarly, Jordan's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, Ambassador Fuad Al-Majali, expressed Jordan's full solidarity with Syria. He reiterated Jordan's rejection of all forms of terrorism and violence that aim to destabilize security and stability, emphasizing its support for Syria's security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

Egypt also condemned the bombing, underscoring its complete rejection of terrorist acts targeting innocent civilians, with the aim of undermining security and stability.

In the same vein, Iraq expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the attack, affirming its total solidarity with Syria and categorical rejection of any terrorist acts targeting civilians or public places, deeming such actions as violations of human values and international law.

Narrating further details, the President of the Syrian Bar Association, Muhammad Al-Tawil, stated that the targeted cafe served as a resting place for lawyers. According to legal sources, the preliminary tally involved the death of six lawyers and the injury of eight others.

Meanwhile, Damascus Governor Maher Idlibi confirmed that the Ministry of Interior would soon announce the preliminary investigation results, explaining that the explosive device was homemade and emphasizing that authorities will pursue those responsible to bring them to justice.
