Historic Agreement Strengthens Lebanese-Syrian Relations

Prime Minister Nawaf Salam announced on the 'X' platform: 'To enhance bilateral relations between Lebanon and Syria and establish them on a foundation of cooperation and coordination from state to state, we aim to achieve the shared interests of our two countries. This is based on the principles of mutual respect for sovereignty, independence, territorial unity, non-interference in internal affairs, and good neighborliness. Yesterday, with the representative of the Syrian Arab Republic, His Excellency Asaad al-Shibani, we signed the agreement to establish the Lebanese-Syrian Higher Joint Committee. Congratulations to our two fraternal peoples.'
