The newspaper 'Maariv' has reported that U.S. President Donald Trump might aim to promote a visit by Lebanese President Jozef Aoun to Washington during his anticipated meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. This could lead to the possibility of holding a trilateral meeting involving all three leaders.
The newspaper added that the White House is working on linking talks with Netanyahu to a broader regional initiative that includes Lebanon and Iran, as well as potential arrangements regarding the northern borders.
'Maariv' noted that if the meeting were to take place, it could represent a diplomatic achievement for Netanyahu and signal renewed coordination with Trump, just before the official launch of the Knesset election campaign.
