Lebanon will reportedly be a priority in any final agreement with the United States, as disclosed by Hussein Al-Hajj Hassan, a member of the Loyalty to the Resistance bloc in Lebanon. "Iranian brothers have affirmed through their communications with Speaker Nabih Berri and Hezbollah's Secretary General Sheikh Naeem Qassem, as well as the recent visit by the Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister's assistant, that Lebanon will be the first item on the agenda in any potential final agreement with the United States," Hassan stated during a memorial ceremony.
He emphasized that "the primary issue is the cessation of hostilities and war, and the withdrawal of Israeli forces. This is a clear and sufficient Iranian commitment."
Hassan further criticized the framework agreement, labeling it as filled with flaws and shortcomings, notably by linking redeployment to unspecified trial areas and the disarmament to Israeli approval of the outcomes. "It's worse than anything," he commented.
Highlighting the resilience against disarmament, Hassan asserted, "Disarmament is not achievable, officials. You won't be able to, and we will not hand over weapons nor will you be able to forcefully disarm us."
Hassan concluded that all current activities are "for the sake of Israel and America, concerning Netanyahu's elections and Trump’s elections, not for Lebanon."
