U.S. Central Command Strikes Iran Amid Tensions in the Gulf

The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced Tuesday that its forces have carried out a new wave of strikes against Iranian military and defense facilities, utilizing precision-guided munitions.

Meanwhile, Iran's Revolutionary Guard reported launching missile and drone attacks on Bahrain. This action followed warnings from Manama for its citizens to take shelter after alarm sirens sounded.

For several days, the United States has been conducting attacks on Iran in response to Tehran allegedly targeting commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. In return, Tehran has claimed to target U.S. military facilities in Arab countries.

In detailed statements, CENTCOM outlined that the operations lasted around five hours, targeting military sites in various Iranian regions, notably Bushehr, Chabahar, Jask, Konarak, Abu Musa Island, and Bandar Abbas.

The strikes aimed at coastal air defense systems, missile and drone launch sites, and naval capabilities, being executed with precision weaponry.

Additionally, CENTCOM confirmed the presence of over 50,000 American troops currently deployed across the Middle East.

Revolutionary Guard Announces Targeting U.S. Facilities in Bahrain

Iran’s state television reported that the Revolutionary Guard targeted military logistics support warehouses, a satellite communications center, and a residential building for U.S. forces in Bahrain.

Iranian media cited a statement from the Revolutionary Guard claiming they targeted two “violating” supertankers and disabled them in the Strait of Hormuz after the vessels ignored warnings, shut off navigation systems, and attempted passage through a “mined route.”

The Revolutionary Guard's statement to Iranian media accused the United States of inciting ships to use illegal routes, warning that cooperation with the “aggressor enemy” would delay reopening the strait and contribute to a global energy crisis.
