The Department of Media and Public Relations of the Lebanese Civil Defense Directorate General has issued the following statement:
The Directorate General of Civil Defense has warned citizens about the dangers of swimming along the Lebanese coastline, stretching from Abdeh in the north to Naqoura in the south. This is due to high waves and strong sea currents, which increase the risk of drowning incidents, putting lives in jeopardy.
The Directorate urges everyone to exercise caution and refrain from swimming until marine conditions improve, and to adhere to public safety guidelines and the instructions of the relevant authorities.
