Parliamentary Public Works Committee Approves Two Draft Laws

The Parliamentary Committee on Public Works, Transport, Energy, and Water conducted a session headed by MP Saji'a Atiya, with committee rapporteur MP Mohammad Khawaja, alongside MPs Ibrahim Mneimneh, Hussein Jishi, Taha Naji, Antoine Habshi, Salim Aoun, Abdel Karim Kabara, Faisal El Sayegh, Fouad Makhzoumi, Melhem Tawk, Adnan Tripoli, Bilal Al-Hachemi, Nazih Mattar, Razi Al-Hajj, Cesar Abi Khalil, Jihad Samad, and Qassem Hashem attending.

The session was also attended by representatives including Ambassador George Beitar from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants, George Maarawi, Director-General of the Ministry of Finance, Ibrahim Shahrour, Vice President of the Council for Development and Reconstruction, Director of Public Debt Rania Al-Shaar, Director-General of Tripoli Port Ahmed Tamer, Operations Director at the Ministry of Public Works and Transport Ali Haidar, and the Head of Roads and Buildings Department at the Council for Development and Reconstruction Ramzi Kaldawi.

The committee deliberated on its session's agenda and, following discussions, approved the two draft laws issued by decrees 3350 and 3351. The committee will continue to discuss the remaining items on the agenda in subsequent meetings.
