Grand Jaafari Mufti Sheikh Ahmad Qabalan addressed the Lebanese authority and President Joseph Aoun, stating that the massacres and genocides affecting children and women in the towns of Ansar and Deir al-Zahrani are a result of this authority's submission and trust in the terrorist Washington and Tel Aviv. He claimed that the current situation is the responsibility of the executive authority which fails in its crucial national security duties, and the outcome of the framework agreement affirms a lack of trust in this authority and its sponsor, who knows nothing of patriotism beyond empty speeches.
In his statement, he continued, "For the record, I say: there is no greater guarantee for Lebanon than the guarantee provided by the army, the resistance, and national unity. The Lebanese people are urged to defend national unity and its authoritative framework, and there is no greater national sin than that of the executive authority that prevents the Lebanese army from fulfilling its greatest defensive duties."
