The investigative judge of the Central Anti-Corruption Criminal Court in Iraq announced that, in coordination with the Kurdistan Region, authorities have seized $20.34 million and 200 million Iraqi dinars. Additionally, 60 kilograms of gold and seven vehicles have been recovered. This development is part of the ongoing case against Adnan al-Jumaili, the detained Deputy Minister of Oil for Refining Affairs, and his accomplices.
According to a statement, the efforts to trace and seize funds derived from waste in projects executed by the accused officials led to the confiscation of these finances, gold, and vehicles.
The designated judge affirmed that investigations are ongoing to pursue other involved parties, with the aim of finalizing legal actions against them.
