A wave of anxiety swept through the town of Maaroub after a local resident received a phone call from a foreign number, during which the caller identified himself as being from the Israeli Army.
According to reports, the citizen, identified as N.F., initially received a call from a number with a Palestinian code but did not answer. The same number called again shortly after.
Upon answering the second call, the resident was told by the caller that they were from the “Israeli Defense Forces.” The moment he heard this phrase, the resident immediately hung up the phone before the caller could continue the conversation or make any requests.
