The U.S. State Department has urged American citizens to "avoid traveling to Israel" due to escalating violence in recent days between Israelis and Palestinians. After lowering the travel advisory for Israel in recent weeks due to improved pandemic conditions, the alert level has been raised from a level two to a level three on a scale of four. The United States has also recommended that its citizens refrain from going to the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, where the warning level has been raised to the highest degree.
