Title: Egypt Confronts Turkish Delegation on Policies Affecting Regional Stability

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry revealed that Cairo confronted the Turkish delegation that visited the city regarding certain policies that do not serve the stability of the region. He clarified that Turkey's consideration of several demands presented by Egypt would help remove difficulties. Shoukry emphasized that elevating relations with Turkey would occur at the appropriate time, stressing the necessity for Turkey to refrain from actions that disrupt Egypt's internal and external stability.

Earlier, in new statements that indicate Turkey's efforts to rapprochement with Egypt, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu mentioned that an agreement with Egypt on the return of ambassadors between the two sides was imminent. He explained that talks between Ankara and Cairo had gradually progressed but noted that a date for an upcoming meeting with his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry, had not yet been set.

He confirmed in a television interview that the mutual communications were proceeding well, and efforts were ongoing to improve relations between the two sides. In contrast, no official comment has been issued from Egypt regarding these statements; however, a diplomatic source in Cairo denied any significant progress in the normalization talks between the two countries. According to the Russian news agency TASS, the two parties presented their vision for the future of relations during recent exploratory talks, but since then, nothing new has occurred on this matter.

It is noteworthy that Turkey announced in March to resume its diplomatic communications with Egypt and instructed pro-Muslim Brotherhood media operating in Turkish territory to soften their tone towards the authorities in Cairo. On May 5-6, a Turkish delegation led by Deputy Foreign Minister Sedat Önal visited Cairo for the first time since 2013 to conduct "exploratory" talks with Egyptian officials, including Deputy Foreign Minister Hamdi Sanad Loza.
