Fitness at 36: Five Secrets Ronaldo Follows

The Portuguese football star, Cristiano Ronaldo, recently caused a stir during the European Championship when he removed two bottles of "Coca-Cola" from in front of him, labeling the beverage as unhealthy. This action led to the company losing billions of dollars in market value and ignited a discussion about the harms of soft drinks. If Ronaldo took this step and urged people to drink water, it is because the "don" follows a strict dietary and health regimen. Thanks to this committed healthy lifestyle, Ronaldo has managed to maintain his physical fitness while playing matches at the age of thirty-six. According to the British newspaper "Mirror," the fitness of the Juventus striker is supported by five key secrets.

The first secret is that Ronaldo follows a diet high in protein while avoiding all sugar-containing foods. He consumes six meals a day, saying this is essential to provide his body with energy. For breakfast, for example, Ronaldo has a diverse meal that includes cheese, low-fat Greek yogurt, an avocado, and a piece of toast. When dining out, he orders steak, even if he sees chicken as a magical source of protein.

Another of Ronaldo's secrets is that he takes a nap five times a day to rest his body, which constantly needs exercise. He has enlisted a sleeping consultant and is careful to turn off all devices, including the television, an hour and a half before going to bed.

Ronaldo also undergoes what is known as cryotherapy, using nitrogen liquid, and has set up a room for this purpose in his home, costing £50,000. Not content with just this, he equipped his house with the latest gym equipment to train continuously and advises everyone to work out wherever possible if they cannot go to the gym. Given that Ronaldo's father passed away early at the age of fifty-two due to alcohol consumption, Ronaldo has distanced himself from alcoholic drinks, ensuring he does not repeat his father's fatal mistake.
