The "Our Summer is Activity and Vitality" initiative is witnessing a significant turnout and wide participation from women in the competitions organized under this initiative launched by the council to encourage women to engage in sports and physical activity during the summer period until August 31.

The initiative includes more than 20 sporting events organized in coordination with clubs, academies, and event organizing companies. Notable events include the International Women's Yoga Day event taking place tomorrow evening at the Zabeel Ladies Club, with expectations of over 70 women participating, and the women's paddle tennis tournament at Paddle Point Kuz 3 the day after tomorrow, alongside another paddle tennis tournament at Al Nasr Sports Club occurring from June 24 to 26. The women's triathlon will take place indoors on Friday, July 2, at Max & Eagle Club in the Nad Al Sheba area.

Forty-five athletes from various nationalities and ages participated in the women’s kayaking challenge organized by 9714 Sports in collaboration with Dubai Sports Council last Friday at the Crystal Lake in Mohammed Bin Rashid City / District 1. The tournament witnessed strong interaction and fierce competition among participants.

Several events were held last week as part of the initiative, including the women's squash tournament at the Dubai Ladies Club, which concludes next Wednesday, featuring world champion Kenzi Al Dafrawi. Meanwhile, the women's 1x1 basketball tournament concluded last Friday, with 25 players participating, alongside the 3x3 basketball tournament which included 6 teams.

All precautionary measures issued by the relevant authorities are being implemented during all sporting events, which stipulate participation of those who have received two doses of the "COVID-19" vaccine at least 14 days before the event, adherence to a physical distancing of two meters, and wearing masks at all times.
