Jill Biden has become the first American First Lady to balance her role in the White House with an outside job, as the White House announced that she will resume teaching university classes in person next week. The First Lady holds a doctorate in education. The Washington Post reported that she will teach in person after a year of remote classes due to the pandemic. A spokesperson for the First Lady confirmed via email, "I can confirm she will begin teaching a new class next week." The newspaper mentioned that she will teach the basics of academic writing at a community college in Virginia, just outside Washington, for 13 weeks. Jill Biden started teaching there when her husband was Vice President under Barack Obama. She has always affirmed her intention to continue teaching after arriving at the White House.
