The sporting director of Paris Saint-Germain, Leonardo Araujo, has called for punishment against Real Madrid for their attempts to sign French star Kylian Mbappe. In media statements, Leonardo said that Real Madrid has been trying to convince Mbappe to join them for two whole years. He added, "From Madrid, they deny it, but I believe they have been working for two years to sign Mbappe. They should be punished."
Leonardo further stated that "Real Madrid's approach was inappropriate and did not respect Mbappe," as reported by the British newspaper "Mirror." He continued, "They did not respect Mbappe. He is not just an ordinary player; he is one of the best players in the world."
Leonardo expressed confidence that Mbappe would renew his contract with PSG, explaining, "We believe the attacking cooperation between Mbappe, Messi, and Neymar is ideal for the team, and there are no plans to replace the French star. We have not planned the team's future without him."
Mbappe's contract with PSG expires next summer, and he will be able to negotiate with other clubs starting January 1st. Reports have indicated that Real Madrid made an offer exceeding 220 million euros for Mbappe, but they received no response from the French club before the closing of the summer transfer window.
