German researchers have emphasized the importance of receiving booster shots against the COVID-19 virus amid the ongoing fight against its spread. The head of the prevention department at the German Leibniz Institute for Prevention Research and Epidemiology in Bremen, Haio Zieb, stated, "Booster doses clearly raise the level of vaccine-specific immunity once again." Additionally, Viola Briesemann from the German Max Planck Institute for Dynamics and Self-Organization in Göttingen pointed to Israel, noting that it successfully halted the spread of COVID-19 during the summer with a vaccination rate similar to that of Germany by administering booster shots to approximately 50% of its population.
