A spokesperson for Expo 2020 Dubai confirmed to Al-Bayan newspaper that visitors to the expo will not be required to present COVID-19 vaccination certificates or undergo testing upon entry. The spokesperson stated, "We are closely monitoring developments with the relevant authorities." Previously, a spokesperson for the expo had told Bloomberg News that it is expected to attract 25 million visits over six months, but will primarily require visitors to wear masks and comply with social distancing rules. The spokesperson added, "While vaccination is encouraged, visitors to the expo are currently not required to provide proof of vaccination or a negative PCR test result. However, we will continue to monitor these measures and adjust them as necessary as the situation evolves."
