Tehran Denies Any Iranian-American Meeting in Baghdad

The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Saeed Khatibzadeh, denied today, Tuesday, the rumors about a US-Iranian meeting in Baghdad yesterday. The Iranian news agency "Tasnim" reported Khatibzadeh saying that "the news regarding a meeting between an Iranian delegation and William Burns, the Director of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), is baseless." According to "Tasnim" information, Burns left Baghdad days ago, and his presence did not coincide with that of the Iranian delegation there. Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif made an official visit to Baghdad yesterday, where he met with Iraqi officials.
