Salah Sets Condition for Liverpool Contract Renewal

British media reports have indicated that Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, forward for English football club Liverpool, has stipulated a weekly wage of £450,000 in exchange for renewing his contract with the "Reds." Salah's contract with Liverpool expires in the summer of 2023, with attempts from the club in recent months to negotiate a renewal.

The British newspaper "The Sun" reported that Salah's agent, Ramy Abbas, will hold discussions with Liverpool regarding the details of the Egyptian striker's new contract. The newspaper further noted that Real Madrid is monitoring Salah's situation at Liverpool to explore making a substantial offer for him next summer if he does not renew his contract at Anfield.

Recently, there have been rumors about the Egyptian star's desire to earn £500,000 per week to extend his contract at Anfield. Two days ago, Salah commented on the renewal process, saying, "I would love to stay with Liverpool until the very last day of my football career, but I can’t say much about it, it’s not in my hands." He added, "It depends on what the club wants, not on me. Right now, I can't see myself playing against Liverpool at all; it would make me sad."

Mohamed Salah (29 years old) is having the best start to his career this season, having scored in the last 10 consecutive matches for the "Reds" across all competitions. The "Egyptian King" shone during Liverpool's match against long-time rivals Manchester United (5-0) last Sunday, scoring a historic hat-trick at "Old Trafford."

Salah became the first player in Liverpool history to score in three consecutive matches at Manchester United's home ground and the first player to score a hat-trick at "Old Trafford" against Manchester United in 18 years, since Brazilian Ronaldo scored three goals while playing for Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League in 2003.

Additionally, the Egyptian star is now the second player to score a hat-trick against Manchester United (5-2) at their home ground, following English player Fred Howe in their matchup during the 1936-1937 season. Salah has reached a total of 107 goals in his Premier League career so far, making him the top-scoring African player in the competition's history, surpassing Ivorian Didier Drogba, who previously shared the record with 104 goals.

Currently, Mohamed Salah leads the Premier League's scoring chart with 10 goals after just 9 rounds, pulling ahead by 3 goals from English striker Jamie Vardy of Leicester City.
