The story of Indian twins Ralphried and Jovfried Gregory has stirred sadness and grief across the country, as they lived together their entire lives as identical in every way, before being struck by the novel coronavirus, leading them to share a single grave. The touching story of the twins spread widely in India, as Jovfried was born just three minutes before his brother Ralphried. They were so alike that they loved each other deeply, wore matching clothes, and even styled their beards the same way, making it difficult for those around them to tell them apart, according to Indian media reports.
Jovfried and Ralphried Gregory were infected with COVID-19 last month and were admitted to a hospital. It seemed that their bodies reacted to the virus in the same way, as reported by the New York Times. After hours of Jovfried's death due to COVID-19 complications, their mother told Ralphried that his brother was still alive to keep up his spirits. However, Ralphried sensed that his brother had passed, saying, "Mom, you’re lying." The next day, Ralphried also died. The family buried the twins in a single grave under a tree at the St. Luke's cemetery in the city.
