Egyptian screenwriter Mustafa Muharram has passed away after a battle with illness, following his transfer today, Thursday morning, to a private hospital. According to Egyptian media, the late writer's family has decided to hold his funeral prayer tomorrow, Friday, at Sayyida Nafisa Mosque after the Friday prayers.
Hussein Mustafa Muharram, the late screenwriter's son, announced via his Facebook account that his father was in critical condition, writing: "My father is in intensive care... please pray for him."
The deceased was considered one of the most important screenwriters in Egypt, having presented several movie scripts, notably "Ahl al-Qimma," "Al-Gharqana," and "Love Above the Pyramids."
Among the most famous series created by screenwriter Mustafa Muharram are: "I Will Not Live in My Father's Cloak," "The Family of Haj Metwali," "Al-Batinia," "Zahra and Her Five Husbands," "The Perfumer and the Seven Daughters," and "The Journey of a Woman."
