What You Need to Do to Renew Your Passport on Election Day

The General Directorate of General Security issued the following statement: "In implementation of Decree No. 9128 dated 12/05/2022, the General Directorate of General Security announces that citizens wishing to renew their expired passports (either the old model '2003' or biometric passports) for use exclusively in the election process can personally attend the general security centers affiliated with their registration places on Friday 13, Saturday 14, and Sunday 15/05/2022, from 08:00 to 18:00. The renewal will be processed after providing an individual registration statement that includes a clear ID photo of the applicant (if the photograph is not available in the passport) for a fee of 200,000 Lebanese Lira, provided that the passport is not marked with a canceled stamp."
