The White House has announced that it expects upcoming economic data to show elevated inflation figures in the United States. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stated, "We expect the overall inflation index to be high, and we anticipate that the war in Ukraine will have some impact on core inflation, especially when you look at things like airline ticket prices and the effect of rising jet fuel costs."
