Discovery of "Booby-Trapped" Oxygen Cylinders in Iraq

The Security Media Cell in Iraq announced today, Tuesday, the discovery of booby-trapped oxygen cylinders and two homemade explosive devices in Nineveh Province (400 km north of Baghdad). The media cell stated in a statement reported by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "based on accurate intelligence information, a force from the Nineveh Operations Command carried out a search and clearing mission in the area south of Mosul and found a quantity of booby-trapped oxygen cylinders, which were detonated by the disposal teams." The statement further indicated that a force within the West Nineveh Operations Command found two 180 mm mortar shells and two locally made explosive devices, which were detonated.
